Timothi was born and raised in New York City. While living there she studied at the prestigious International Center for Photography. She instantly fell in love with the art of black and white photography and the process of creating a beautiful archival print by hand in the darkroom. Prior to developing her skills as a photo artist, Timothi spent many years as a professional dancer in New York City, modeling and living in France, England, Germany, Italy and Japan and honing her acting chops in New York and Los Angeles on stage and in film and television productions. All these experiences developed her instincts as an emotionally intuitive artist as well as her understanding of movement and composition, giving her a very unique and complete approach to portraiture.

Timothi believes a portrait should be more than just a pretty picture. It should tell a story and reveal the simple truths that touch us all. Timothi believes in creating the most relaxing environment possible for those she photographs. She likes to meet with them before the shoot so that they can discuss, wardrobe, location and so she can spend some time developing a rapore with her subjects. She finds that when the client is relaxed and comfortable, thats when the magic happens. Timothi's style is intimate yet dramatic. She strives to create images that move and inspire.
